Working on an EP...

Postby hseiken on Thu Aug 13, 2009 10:14 pm

I'm working on a concept EP called "Fatal Mission". It's a concept in 3 ways:

1.) Made entirely on PSPSeq. Info on PSPSeq here: http://dspmusic.org/psp/
2.) It's entirely FM synthesis with no fx.
3.) It's a 'soundtrack' to a story about space cadets on a (wait for it....) fatal mission.

Thought you guys might enjoy listening to the first 2 tracks. All audio is straight from the psp with no post processing. EP is planned to be 4 tracks total.

Enjoy.

Hard techno with bits of melody.

Dubstep with melody and double-time drumming near middle.

Sounds awesome! The mix came out really good on the first track especially.

The EP's been on hiatus until I can get a new PSP. Mine died this week. :(

With christmas coming up, having to move from the east coast to west coast, i'm kinda spent...

Might just release the two tunes on their own as a no-name single...

Very cool tracks! I converted my old fat psp with a pandora so I could run PSPSeq and PSPRhythm, but I found them such a pain to learn. I'm too used to the simplicity of the tribes, and my drum machines, that anything more involved than that just sucks away any energy I have towards making a song. I guess I'll be spending some time soon with it (I'll be on the road).

I recommend PSPSeq, especially for the type of music you like to make. PSPSeq can get quite ridiculous sounds out of it. BTW, those demo files by HS...that's me. :)

My only complaint is that the kick sticks out a bit much for my taste, the rest of the tuna sounds great.
