Midi Interface Template For FLStudio Fans

Postby MrSidMan on Tue Jan 25, 2011 10:04 pm

I'm probably reinventing the wheel, that I can't find (of afford) so...

I created a ZIP project template for FLSTUDIO (9+) that has all the knobs linked so you can control the EMX with the virtual knobs on the software and they are all linked so you can tweak and record the movements through the EMX as well.

Here it is:
Try it out and play around with it... It's a little weird at first but you'll get the idea (if you are familiar with FLStudio)...
Hook up your EMX to your midi interface, the drums are on channel 10 and are not tweekable yet.. All synths are on their same channels as well...

If you have any questions feel free to ask!
I yet to fully get it working, and I just finished doing all this, so let me know if you have any issues...
I will be playing around with it until i get it the way I want.

Enjoy!

Also I'm still working on implementing the KP3 with it :/

Haven't tried this out as I'm not using my EMX too much these days, but glad to see it and the KP3 update as well. Will try to free up some time asap.

One question: Is this for PC, Mac or either one?

It's mainly for the PC,
I'm not sure how it would run on a Mac, I'd say if it can bootcamp the midi controls to FLStudio fine then it might work :ugeek:
But I'm not going to hold my breath!

I have made an update to it, when I was putting it all together, I think there is a few things I've done /fixed since my last upload, so here is a refresh:

Also, you might get some doubling up on the playback, like you might not want the EMX to send it's midi or the KP3 or whatever, so you might have to turn off the input/output in your midi settings...

For the most part all the knobs are linked and configured to control the EMX from the DAW,
I'm not saying it's easy to work with, and it definitely might take some getting used to!

Good luck if you try... And if you are on a MAC and try, I'd like to know how it goes.

Later
