spammers...

Postby killedaway on Fri Mar 27, 2009 12:58 pm

Ruso, have you considered enabling some sort of a "first post rule" to cut back on spammers? i'm a member of a couple other forums who implement this, and it seems to work pretty well. basically, in order to post, your first post ever must be approved by a site mod/admin. once a member's first post is given the okay, their account becomes "unlocked" and they post as usual.

i know it might be a bit of a small hassle for you, but just looking at the post frequency on this forum, you might not be looking at more than 1 or 2 a week. anyway, i know this is all software dependent, and i'm not sure what tools are at your disposal, so maybe it can't be implemented here. something to think about anyway. thanks for your time.

yeah I'm fully aware of this stupid spam ass holes... anyways I am in the process of getting abletonpa.com running and I was going to retrofit both forums with an anti-spam mod for both

Unfortunately, I am on vacation in canada (wicked skiing) and when i come back I will be moving so it won't happen for a while.

Alpental is "OK" if you get there during the day and hit the upper part. Otherwise Snoq East West Central is so damn small, I'll take Steven's any day of the week. :)

Plus they have unlimited lift tickets March 1st to April 19th for only $79. :P

Snoqualmie Central is great on the new Silver Fir Express chair on the far far left (past the terrain park).... it's only open till four but the runs are much longer...

the problem is that stevens has shitty snow a lot more then snoqualmie...

Interesting that we have completely different views on the snow :) Maybe we can agree that Crystal trumps both?
