fun stuff

Postby MagpieIndustries on Sat Jul 05, 2008 10:50 pm

Hey, I notice traffic on this forum is slowing down a lot.. time to inject some life into things!
What about having some competitions, or battles or challenges to keep people interested (and creating tunes)... the guys over at the machinedrum forums often have fun challenges like 'make an entire song using only one specific synthesis method', perhaps we can do the same. Make an emx song with only drum parts between 30 and 70, plus one synthesis method, or something like that. 24hrs to create a tune.. anything to stretch peoples imagination and to get the creativity flowing... has anyone got suggestions?

esx users could get different challenges, i guess. We could make a sample pack and see what people can do with it.

I was thinking about proposing a tournament for a while now.

I was thinking about proposing making an open contest meaning one track, any gear.

I'd be down for all electribe too.

One of my thought\s was create a temporary tournament forum.

Go for it! Different types of events would be nice. I think sticking to just one instrument is still pretty vague.. the more limitations the more creative people get, it seems :)

I will make an esx sample pack during the week
