How to cue pattern on EMX-1 and stay in sync with Ableton

Postby horisonten on Thu Aug 20, 2015 4:58 am

Can I make Ableton control the start of an pattern in my EMX-1?

For example:
Let's say I want the next pattern to start on the next 1 in a 4/4 beat in Ableton.

Atm I'm stuck with starting a pattern manually with the play button, and therefore need to start it exactly on the beat so that it sounds tight.

Maby you should try connecting your computer wia midi-usb cable I use such a cable and I have no problem syncing my tribe with ableton, one thing thoug its better to use ableton as a master. I usually set my midi clock on electribe to auto.

Definitely a MIDI cable. The command you are mentioning is called start/stop.
