Hey all, quick question in case there's something I'm missing in the manual. Is it possible to select a muted part on the EMX-1, without causing that part to unmute when you select it?

You have to select that part first, before MUTE it, this way the part keeps "lighted" even if it's not making any sound and you can improvise in the ARP or using the step keys (synth section), if that's what you intend  .
Don't forget to press SHIFT key before the key part to avoid it to sound on the top of itself (unless you have an exact timing).

yeah ive really been wondering this myself. I want to be able to select a part and edit its sounds before it comes in. I haven't figured out how to select a part without it unmuting. Im thinking i'll try the part mute button and then double clicking the part maybe that will work.
