DOH! Forgot about that. Thanks. I use the ESX like I use my brain....only 10-15% of its potential :bday:

Here's my entry called "payaner". Really mangled up version of the samples except the ending. Thanks bresk for saving me time with the normalize!

Cool changeups and transistions.....I also love the synth work on this one yat.
+1 for those cool "underwater" noise/sounds during the beginning, sounded sweet.

Thanks again Pound. I had to chop out single cycle waveforms out of the samples and put them in loop mode for my synths. The sample set was a bit funny to work with (I can't believe that's an Aphex Twin song).

Really strange song...felt like someone was spying on me while I was listening...gave me this strange feeling of, like...being trapped in my head...

1 four-bar pattern, completely improvised. No resampling of anything...decided to keep it simple this time around. 1st take, and also my entry. Was going more for mood than complexity.

Enjoy.

p.s. sorry about the noise in the track. I forgot to turn down the input from the computer...that's how i moved the samples...played them on the computer then recorded what i wanted. If nothing else, it gives a weird 'character' to the tune...lol...look at me, talking up my mistakes! Hahaha

Lovely! I had this running in the background over and over... Flawless.

Well, it's mangled alright! I usually like those experimental bits, but this didn't feel right. I could hear you have a sense for detail, like that short reversed/forwarded synth part towards the middle. I liked that together with the percussion sounds.
And I think it's the lack of things happening in the rythm that throws me off a bit. There's no progress, and the small amount of progress this track does (does?) are done in such a weird and untimed way, so... yeah. It doesn't work out that well.

Where's all the other submissions? :geek:
