I thought winner posts the next battle's sample set? It wouldn't make sense to post the set until someone's won!

Finally got around to listening to your track Ruso. Definitely has your signature. That low freq bassline is sweet - using the kick- great idea! Going through Ableton definitely makes the audio Q stand out more than going through the 'tribes. I haven't found anything that's as fun as making beats on the tribes, but maybe I should try Ableton (I'm just a big klutz with music software though).

Couldn't resist a second go with the samples :)
It's a bit noisy some places...

On it's own, the track kind of left me behind, but I kept listening to it and watching that latest Mummy movie (the beginning of it) and the track suddenly had life...I think the visuals definitely helped. On it's own, I don't know if I would listen to it, but it definitely makes awesome alternative soundtrack to Jet Li crying mud then spontaneously catching on fire!

You can sure come up with some crazy modulated sounds skinny. Sounds cool!
Im amazed at the demonstration shown clearly by all of these instrumentals, at how far one can truly manipulate sounds on the ESX

Would be nice to have a poll, though...Ruso...poll? :)

Again, honor system. No voting for yourself. :)

So I guess everyone's waiting on my sample pack? I thought battles were about declaring a winner, though!?

We should maybe retitle this to "ESX Exercises" since we're just seeing how the samples end up at the end of each person's mangling...

:)

I'll have a .esx file ready for the weekend as well as a zip of .wav's for people that want to cut and chop everything themselves.
