It's really not hard. Plug one side of the cable to EMX. Plug other side of the cable to Line In of Laptop. You just need the right cable. Then select "Line In" as recording source in your Volume Control.

I would get an external soundcard, e.g. the tascam 122 -> http://www.tascam.com/products/us-122;9,15,68,16.html

for going directly into the pc you will have to get the right cables, and I don't know if you can get the 2x6.3mm to line in directly, I would assume you need

I haven't done it myself though...

edit: ...and of course you'd need a line in-port on your pc. most laptops don't offer a line-in-port.
