Green Border - Electribute (live)

Postby greenborder on Fri Sep 19, 2008 2:04 am

Hi guys,

new at this forum and equally new to the ESX-1. Owned logic and the KP3 for a while and decided it was time for some more hands on machine to create music in a more natural way. I have to say it's been a wonderful week with my new ESX pumping out tracks in no time!

I've uploaded my first ESX track on myspace, minimal techno-ish, made entirely with the ESX and the KP3, and compressed the overall output a bit in Logic. Electribute is the only ESX song, others are done using logic.

or see attachment.

Feedback appreciated and happy to be part of the Electribe community :)

gret minimnal approach, good beats, and cozy feel :)is the sub bass also from the ESX? only thing I didn't like was the noisy snare sound at the end of the loop, but very good work with the fx and all :) and the organ sample loop part was awesome :)

welcome to the forums :)

Thanks for the feedback mate! Yeah the subbass is a pitched tom sound from the ESX. I agree with you on the snare, I'll might chop it out in logic ;P

By the way I love your Kaossilator stuff, didn't know it was such a versatile machine!

The clap pops out a little too much for me, and I agree with Ruso about the noise snare at the end. Would sound awesome if it kind of slid in and out maybe with a touch of phaser on it and some envelope shaping.

Not exactly my cup of tea, but it's a pretty good minimalist track nonetheless.

I feel the compression over at myspace has severely took out the vibe, but well ;) The clap clips as well so that might be enhancing the compression artifacts.

Thank for your feedback!

try using the forum's attachment feature, my player produces much less artifacts.

However you want... but the reason I made the feature is because it's a MUCH better player then myspace. It both deals with compression better and has much faster load times and isn't as buggy.
