Anybody tried this with the EMX? Seems a bit of a picayune question, but I'm wondering if the paint on both models responds equally well.

I'm sure you may have heard, but Style Flip make covers in any color\graphic you choose. I was foolin on the website last night and actually made a blue skin for my ESX so it looked just like an EMX.

On a side note Milhouse, I see you have a TR-707. Do you use it in your setup? I have one that needs repair and was wondering if it would be worth it to fix.

Thanks for the info! Actually I need to revise my gear list cause I got rid of the 707. Sadly if fell off a book shelf and broke beyond repair. But when It was functional I did use it for the the din sync to CV Gate on my Arp Odyssey and for high hats and snares. Its a great drum machine to use but it does have its limits in sound. I use two samplers in my set up so I can easily use the 707 samples. I do miss the 707 RIP.

I tired the oven cleaner and it worked! It didnt get all the red off so I reapplied the cleaner again and it seemed like it took off a lot of the shine it had. It did leave it with a different textured look. Which i was kind of sad it didnt stay shiney. But its not red which counts.

You can clearcoat it if you want it to shine. Most hardware stores sell a spraypaint clear for aluminum.

Ruso,

It almost looks like you used that "shirt paint" on your synth\controller there. Looks like the suff we used to draw on shirts with....especially the neon green.

Very personal, I like it!

exactly what it is :) now it looks like shyte on the controller :) but I did a much better job on my other gear.

I actually panted the controller white because I screwe up the art on it.

I would like to get upgraded tubes for warmer sounds...
I Recently picked the EMX-1 for an upgrade to the studio and was given this thread link from a friend..
I read most of, if not all the post in this thread ( maybe I missed it ).. I think I could do a LED replacement now

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks
