Just when I had given up hope, figured that the electribes were finished, Korg unleashes a new successor to the EMX. Now that they have given us intergration of the volcas and monotribe, they've finally given us a master controller for all the latest devices. Can I say WOW??. Can't wait to hear the new synth engine, and it seems like there's more control of what you can do with the sounds. It might be a rompler, or it could be a virtual synth ready to go. I'm very busy with work, so I don't have time to really study the specs, but, looks like Korg have done it again.

Looks like I'll be saving up for this one.

There's also a new incarnation of the ESX! http://www.korg.com/us/products/dj/electribe_sampler/index.php

It'll be interesting to see the specs. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like we're getting any increase in sampling memory with a pretty spartan 270 seconds, but it's cool to see velocity, poly and a built-in kaoss pad. And it runs on batteries!

Yeah - He made it public again for about a day, then took it private again. Rats! It was really interesting to hear his take on it and how he felt about the blue box as well.

Very cool indeed. I wonder when they're going to go on sale?

I've been told to expect the electribe in November with the sampler arriving "later." Of course, those dates are subject to change (ha!), but generally my source is pretty good.
