Ok so sonic state have a first intro video up. But wow could this demonstrator be any less interested? Apparently its that mistabishi chap but he really looks like he needs to be in bed :P

He seems to be more interested in talking about VJing and RF transmission technoloogy than this box and the soon to arrive sampler. I'd much prefer to have seen him do a 10 minute live set with it than talk about specs anyone can get off the website.

The demo patterns are cheesy but I think its going to be quite capable in the right hands, I'm liking the fact that it has a bunch of different filter algos to chose from, I believe the osc types are similarly selectable which should make for some quite varied tones.

He really seemed out of it - up for 24 hours traveling and then setting up the booth? I dunno, but he is NOT someone I'd want representing my product.

EDIT: Whoah! Screwed up big time there! That is Mistabishi and he probably was up all hours before this presentation. I'd like to see a bit more of him doing what he does on this new electribe, describing what he's up to and not trying to play presenter out of his element. Here's another video from another source, where all he does is play music on the electribe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gd8e7nsKIqs

and another: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMFYK5YX0S4

In case you missed it elsewhere, here's the new electribe manual: http://i.korg.com/uploads/Support/USA_E ... Manual.pdf

Haven't read it yet, but I'll dig into it soon.

Not sure what it says (sorry - I only speak English), but it is easy enough to follow along.

I'll confess that i had forgotten about this forum..... ....I've been gassing over on the Korg forum about this new development though but since this forum is dedicated to the beloved tribes, i'll try & remember this place now.
I sold my old electribes this year & have been on a synth holiday. Well just when i figured the age of the groovebox was over (Disappointing feeling) this new tribe leaps up & hits me... HELLO !!!
The new tribes are the first product in 2014 to grab my attention & there's this magnetism i'm feeling toward the synth version. I was like a boxer hanging up his gloves because i don't do DAW stuff but now, well, looks like i'm gonna be reborn. If these are as good as i imagine it's gonna be happy daze for me. I think i'm going to wind things right back to the beginning & just start with the electribe 2 all on its own, get to know it really well & then expand later... Yup, i'm excited about these new tribes !

rockin :bat: :ohshit:  :joker: :gunz: :-D :brush: :bday: :spin: :yup:  :DD rockin :joker:   :bday: :ohshit: :morph: :brush: :yup:  :bat: :shakeno:  :gunz:  :-D :DD rockin

Well we now have the ol' waiting game to play first. They ought to raise a few eyebrows though because they have that bijou appeal. A very tidy looking unit like.

I have a mixer here & it's getting bored ! ;) Gimmie a new toy.
