I've been using free acid-loops.com lately for drum loops, and just found a new site called free-loops.com, they both seem to have some good stuff on them.

I haven't delved into either of those yet, its been all synth lately, being in two bands hasn't really left me much time to learn to dj.

it's the one Richie Hawtin used for the Minus/Orange tracks, right? that's one hella nice use of that sample imo :)

and for free samples I've found some fun stuff on sampleswap and freesound.

here's a link to a similar topic on VSE with tons of links:

You could just go to the public library and find the Yello album. Its on their greatest hits album or you could just DL the track from the internet.

The best way to get samples IMHO, diggin for records and sampling them. Using a voice recorder to samples voices, TV, radio, DVD's and weird conversations on the bus.

I have the yello greatest hits. Do you want me to throw the sample up on a site somewhere?

I mean i could just download song and do that, but i want to pure OHHH YEAA separated. I've sampled parts from movies and it always sounds great at first, but once i start the mastering i always hear the background noises/music and it bugs me.

there are some parts to the oh yea song that are mellowed out. hmmmm maybe i could pull it off. though to be truthful, i was half joking about the sample. but that still means i was half ...not joking ??

ah which reminds me , this site has a few acapellas http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/
also the ccmixter is good for acapella samples.

it would be dope to get a pure acapella of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbybMXJkaYI
damn good voice.

ANYWAY ,, you dont have to send it to me, but if anyone does run across the seperated vocals for that it would be great !
