Quad Kaoss Pad allows simultaneous use of four effects, which can be synchronized in real time. Tácil control has a feedback system for lights of different colors. Among the integrated effects offered Looper, modulators, filters, delay, reverb effect to 1,295 combinations. All effects can be selected from the front panel instantly as other KAOSS.

Kaoss Pad Korg Quad will be available this year. Even its official price is unknown.

:spin:

And it only has the 24 effects! Sure they are now able to be layered, up to four effects at a time, but still  Not sure about this one.

Exactly. I was excited for about three minutes. Then I realized I'll be sticking with my KP3.

I'm glad Korg is expanding the Kaoss line, but it's clear they're aiming primarily at the (vinyl) DJ market, not electronic musicians (sigh)

Korg is not alone either. Gear is struggling. It's been like two years since a really exciting namm.

Haha on the topic of Korg failing, I bought a Kaossilator Pro and returned it two days later. I felt like it was more of a toy than my Tenori-On

After returning my Kaossilator Pro, I purchased the Electribe MX and I can say I've never been as satisfied with a piece of hardware as I am with my MX

I still plan to get a KP3 though. It seems like it could be a really powerful tool for live preformance, and also for using as an X/Y Midi controller.

As someone who was seriously considering getting a mini-KP as an effects unit to use in a band setting I can see the logic behind the quad, it's a mini-KP-pro. As a gigging effects processor the KP3 is overkill and mini-KP isn't quite up to scratch, the Quad fills that gap quite nicely.
