Although I'm sure this will come with a hefty price tag, it's good to see the Linndrum II-idea wasn't completely scrapped. Pairing this will an ESX would be very intriguing rockin

excessive discussions about this on both VSE and Elektron users, it's and expensive piece of kit, but I'm sure those who buy it won't be dissapointed :) I'd rather have this than a 909 any day

Count me in!! I have been waiting for this and hearing about it for so many years and now it's officially siiiick.

Also, just so you know, the LinnDrum II idea has *not* been scrapped. It will be coming out soon as well:

You may have heard of the LinnDrum II project-- a drum machine collaboration between me (Roger) and Dave Smith. During development, we learned that Dave's customers and mine wanted somewhat different products, so we figured it's better to start over and make two drum machines-- LinnDrum II, focused on my customers and sold through Roger Linn Design, plus a second drum machine focused on Dave's customers and sold through his company.

This should've been out like 2 years ago... I think it's a little late on this type of product ;). That's just my personal opinion but the reality is, the music hardware world is in the stone ages.

The reality is that you can build a small studio for that pricetag.

definately, but I bet this is meant for the already big and professional studio, not the newcomer ;)

Ahh, Dave Smith gear... :shakeno:

I had a DS Tetra for less than a week. Quickest return I ever made on a synth. Flimsy build, crap OS, the PC editor was FULL of bugs and my Cheetah MS6 (similar Curtis chips - the only reason I haf believed the DS hype) took a gargantuan DUMP on it sound-wise. Well, everything-wise TBH.

Think I'll stick to my tribes.
