Dunno about the Blue ones...those are the original 1000's that had all the pad problems.
The black re-released edition is the one you should go for :)

All the pads work on this one. Fully tested.

Buyer can get the pad upgrades if these ever become problematic. But, as stated, these pads still work just fine.

Also, not all of the black MPC1k's have the newer pads.

Hmm...No doubt, I'd scoop it up then

Thats kind of a bummer though on the newer black ones...So you say that even some of the black ones have the f*cked up pad design that the old blues one had!?!

Yeah, I remember when the black designs first came out a few years back. The new pad upgrade hadn't been announced yet. So there were brand new MPC 1000 BK (black model) being sold with the original pad design.

After the black model had been out for a while, the new pads were released and they started selling new in stores with the new pads. These were called MPC 1000 BK-N or something like that.

Be careful when buying ANY used MPC 1000, blue or black, because it might not have the new style pads.

I recently opened up my MPC 1000 and did some cleaning and realigned one pad to make sure it was working properly prior to listing on Ebay. Just wanted to be sure I was selling a working machine.
