I've found cheap one second hand, and I'm thinking of buying it. Does any of you have any experience with this? It seems pretty cool, only drawback is the fact that it has a zip drive, and as far as I understand, no internal memory...that's just stupid

Ive heard and read tons of complaints about the internal sequencer on that machine. I actually tried one out though about 8 years ago, it was kinda cool messsing around with the D-beam and all of the effects, but when it came time to sequence......I dont remember being pleased :?

I´ve just been reading up on it, and it seems the most complaints is about the zip drive. If it´s fully functional I´m going to buy it, it´s only 130$, I think that´s a really nice price :)

$130 is a great price. I've never played with a sp808, but I have with a sp404 and an mc-808 and they both sound great, even though I still find the tribes way more intuitive. But, and this is a major plus for the Rollies, both of the ones I've used sound *better* than the tribes. I'll give Rollie the plus on sound quality.
