I have owned a Zero4 previously, using it to its full potential, running Traktor Scratch Pro as well as using two channels for MIDI.
The mixer itself is a great CONCEPT, but Korg dropped the ball pretty hard on it, they released it before its time and then discontinued it just as fast. Leaving ALOT of users under the radar when firmware updates were desperately needed.
The major letdown with the Z4 was the onboard soundcard, which i found was the big win when it came to the mixer. There was times when the connection from the mixer to the computer cause a ear ringing screech. It happened approx 5 times in a year, which is ALOT seeing how i play live approx 3-4 times a month.
Another small problem was the FX slide pot, the factory pot did not have strong solder joints on alot of units, you can read about this in other forums. After a certain amount of use the front pin would decide to break. Easy fix tho, order a new fader, solder it in.
The headphone output is pretty low on the mixer as well, and the rotary pots losen up quickly.
So i decided to sell the beast and i went with the Denon DNX1600, same idea, better build and actual support from the company. Its been approx a year since i made the change and the 1600 has not failed me yet, not once.
